Title: ???? thinking about moving
Post by: honda1 on March 24, 2010, 12:59:21 PM: A good freind offered me a 5000 sq ft shop to start a small auto shop in. In Havasu city houing is cheap anybody got any thoughts ??? kids are game with the idea . My buddy said if I wanted to sell cars to he would give me cars he is a wholesell car dealer in fullerton . living at the lake just feels inviting ???

The only problem I see is that LHC is a small town, most successful businesses in small towns run off word of mouth and reputation. Once you establish yourself you'd probably be golden, but the first year or two is going to be an ass kicker. Here's some PROS and CONS

PROS:
1. Getting the hell out of California
2. Your own business
3. Small town living
4. Live @ Lake Havasu, close to Parker etc
5. Miles of desert to off road in
6 See #1

CONS:
1. It gets Africa hot during the summer
2. Snowbirds in the winter
3. Small town living
4. Did I mention the heat?
5. New business venture in a completely new environment

I guess it all boils down to YOU and your family, if you are ready to leave your life behind in California and start something new, then you're set. If it was me, I'd be on it like flies on shit.
