I just bought a Wriedt model 18' Maverick for a great price. There is not much talk about these jet boats out there and I want to know what the SCJB people think or know about them. Check out these old flyers.
-
Not much info, I've done some searching I like mine rides well.
-
Here's some shots of ours post up some pics man let's see it
-
I think the amount of work that goes into making a Wriedt fast and stable exceeded the amount work most people were willing to do.
As far as a lake boat goes, they are pretty solid.
I grew up in a 16' o/b stinger and they are everywhere!
Not much if a story to tell.
There were hundreds of boat builders and maybe 10 original molds they were all being popped out of.

My dad has a maverick, I grew up on it. Really is a great boat, it is a good stable boat 90 and under. We have had his up to 87 with a mild 468.
-
Nobody splashing barges like my Montara? Hmmm wonder why. Wonder how much work it would take to get mine to 87?

Mine came with it when I bought it. I can get a size on it if you want so you know what to get.
Couple places online to get them can think of it right now off the top of my head.
Nice to see I'm not alone

A friend of mine gave me my Bimini came off a Hallett Vector

Very nice looking boats,
Just noticed the transoms on your boats only have (1) dump. Does your bilge pump connect and dump with the engine dump?
One of the things that I don't like is that it only has the front gas tank that holds only 11 gallons.
-
My uncle changed the tanks in mine years ago when he had it...I now have 2 15 gallon tanks in the back

And the dump you see in the pics is the bilge the exhaust sits under the water thats why you can't see it

What year again is yours? When I filled mine up for the first time last week I could have mistaken the gallons in the tank already. I will run it out and fill it up again. :screwy:

Mines a 75 with stock fiberglass tank.
