I'd like to see a picture of this, I'm fully determined to have one by next year, just curious on how the price ranges match up. I know a guy that has a 19ft but it wasn't close to 18k. I talked to bill scotten over the weekend about the 3 new hulls he had on display at aha, they weren't rigged and no trailer but the white, blue and orange definitely caught my eye.

That's what I have heard, I will definitely go with Greg and Mike if I end up going the new hull route which I'm leaning towards. I just liked seeing some brand new boat hulls.  I'm waiting to see if my buddy ends up selling his 19ft first, it was nice to see you out there this weekend jake!

cost money to go fast. That one is on the high side but yep 11k less motor for a decently built one is common

Ok just curious there where two in Tucson last season one 18' with 496 and a 19' 454 both original gel and interior for half the price. I should of bought them both pick the best hull pulled the other motor sold it and ended up with a free cp with a spare motor. If I knew then what I know now lol

But... But... Were they REAL CP's??? Because everything else is a fake... Psudo-CP... Even the Earl Smith and Youngbloods which were before CP... Those are fakes too! :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :o :o :o :o :o ::) ::) ::)

The fact of the matter is... They are worth as much as the intersection between what somone is trying to get for it and what someone is willing to pay for it... Anywhere other than that point is a boat not sold and not bought. If someone offers to pay full boat (oh how I love easy puns) then it's worth every nickel... If someone offers less and the seller accepts... Same deal.

I rather buy one engine less, just so I can set it up the way I want but these hold their value when kept in good condition, yes some are a little high but hey when I list nice things for sale on Craigslist, I always ask more then I'm willing to let it go for just because of all the low ballers on there. I know some of you guys see 20k and say we are crazy but I'm sorry guys what do you think it cost to build a solid 1000 hp motor, a pump that can handle it, and the correct hardware to somewhat safely go 100+ in one of these boats. If someone can find a true 100+ mph Gullwing for around 10k sign me up for 2. And still could have saved almost 10k building mine.

I agree, people think they can just scrape by and buy cheap and go fast but when u get down to the basics of building a legit boat the right way with all the right equipment to pull off 100 mph with a proper pump your looking at 30+ grand. It takes time and lots of cash to haul ass.

30,000.00 is what I have in this boat. New from the top to bottom. Bostick power, B1 pump and Sammy paint job. That cost has nothing to do with the thousand hours I got in this deal either. I have not left one old bolt on the boat every piece is new. If you able to find a true Youngblood TX fully restored with the best of everything  that will run 116 mph for under 30 grand you have done well. CHEAP IS NOT GOOD AND GOOD IS NOT CHEAP.

1. The guy knew not one thing about it. 2. It was not in so cal 6 hr drive for most of us. 3. The motor was nothing special. 4. The Interrior was trash. 5. There is cracks everywhere 6. It's light. 7. He was also asking 14,000 when he first listed it. 8. I'm sorry not trying to be an ass but that boat honestly doesn't compare to Jimpens or mine. We know this only because the guy who bought it stays at riviera.

New bare hulls "no holes cut" from bill start at 9k without trailer. So after trailer your in it 12k, a solid 750-800hp motor 15k, seats and Interrior $2500, guages 1k, tanks 800, steering 300, having Chris set intake and build you a rail kit 4k, pump to handle 1000hp 5k, fuel system 1k, plumbing 1500, paying someone to wire  atleast 1k, shitting yourself the first time you drive it = priceless, what I'm trying to say there is a HUGE difference between your average river boat and building a true performance boat.

Set a intake and build a rail kit is 4k?!?!? I am totally in the wrong end of this business!

And if the going rate to wire a boat is 1k... I way undercharged Lupo... By less than half.

Thanks for the info!

should have been more descriptive, buy intake/ loader/ shoe/ ride plate, have hole cut and set, build transom plates, motor plate and rails. And by all means the wiring you did for lupo is ( • )( • )'s a would have paid 1k for that

Lupo... As per Jim's suggestion... Not my idea... Totally Jim's fault... He is the guy that suggested this great idea... And deserves ALL the credit... Gonna have to raise my rates... But just for you... Consider it like the progressive tax schedule... And your ass landed in a much higher bracket! It's cool though... Means you're doing well in life and can share the wealth with the less fortunate.
