cost money to go fast. That one is on the high side but yep 11k less motor for a decently built one is common

Ok just curious there where two in Tucson last season one 18' with 496 and a 19' 454 both original gel and interior for half the price. I should of bought them both pick the best hull pulled the other motor sold it and ended up with a free cp with a spare motor. If I knew then what I know now lol

But... But... Were they REAL CP's??? Because everything else is a fake... Psudo-CP... Even the Earl Smith and Youngbloods which were before CP... Those are fakes too! :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :o :o :o :o :o ::) ::) ::)

The fact of the matter is... They are worth as much as the intersection between what somone is trying to get for it and what someone is willing to pay for it... Anywhere other than that point is a boat not sold and not bought. If someone offers to pay full boat (oh how I love easy puns) then it's worth every nickel... If someone offers less and the seller accepts... Same deal.

I rather buy one engine less, just so I can set it up the way I want but these hold their value when kept in good condition, yes some are a little high but hey when I list nice things for sale on Craigslist, I always ask more then I'm willing to let it go for just because of all the low ballers on there. These bad boys are pricey too http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2011-CALIFORNIA-PERFORMANCE-19-102575003

that one in Tucson was junk. Talked to the guy who bought it. Hurt motor and pump wasn't any good. Got to be careful on the good deals out there cuz you might end up spending more fixing

I know some of you guys see 20k and say we are crazy but I'm sorry guys what do you think it cost to build a solid 1000 hp motor, a pump that can handle it, and the correct hardware to somewhat safely go 100+ in one of these boats. If someone can find a true 100+ mph Gullwing for around 10k sign me up for 2. And still could have saved almost 10k building mine.

I agree, people think they can just scrape by and buy cheap and go fast but when u get down to the basics of building a legit boat the right way with all the right equipment to pull off 100 mph with a proper pump your looking at 30+ grand. It takes time and lots of cash to haul ass.

30,000.00 is what I have in this boat. New from the top to bottom. Bostick power, B1 pump and Sammy paint job. That cost has nothing to do with the thousand hours I got in this deal either. I have not left one old bolt on the boat every piece is new. If you able to find a true Youngblood TX fully restored with the best of everything  that will run 116 mph for under 30 grand you have done well. CHEAP IS NOT GOOD AND GOOD IS NOT CHEAP.
