Title: BBF exhaust
Post by: More2LifeThanMPG on May 20, 2015, 07:01:34 PM
I had a run in with poorly cased logs. Too make a long story short they warped and I attempted to have them machined, during which time found multiple "air pockets" and were not able to save them.

So I am in need of a new exhaust, looking for something thru transom. Don't need to be pretty they are going under a dog house anyways.
Please let me know what you have.

question tho.....can they be welded?, then machined?  if so....i can get them fixed for ya....while i dont enjoy budlight....that price cant be beat.  id have to get back to you on a quote.  better pics if not the manifolds would be needed to get bottom dolla...

Switch to thru bolt.... Flange type on a ford will always warp/leak at ports. Ford heads tend to get a bit more hot due to the lack of water jacket. The thru bolt allows the whole log to mount to head. The thru bolt can have a good felpro gasket used as well. Shop around an you might find someone who doesn't know the value of them... I have 2 extra sets but not giving them away.

I've spoken to a couple different people on welding them, and they said it can be done but the majoring for the time crap metal that can't be fixed and when it can be it's more expense then finding another set. Thanks for the offer though.

I got the same problem with mine, I don't really mind the exhaust leak but would like to get some basset headers.
