I am looking to buy a Berkeley 12jc or 12jg. Something reasonable maybe around 200-400 depending on condition.

How much of the pump do you need... $400 is not going to get you much.
If you said $800, I would say I can hook you up. But $400 is a stretch and a half.

That reverse cable gets mounted directly to that t bracket with a cable clamp that is the same as what is at the front near the shift handle. Small curved bracket with a straight backing.

That's how it was when I got it but it would rub the pump and I was afraid the cable would snap , this little extension deal I made would work great if it was more solid any ideas?

That looks like the same nozzle I have correct? I think all I need would be this T for the reverse bucket cable , every time I've tried to take my boat off the trailer and it's in reverse the boat still goes forward so what's happening is the bucket is going up under pressure because my bracket I made isn't sturdy enough is what I'm getting at (this is a picture off google not my setup)

I would make a straight tiller arm that extends out on both sides and is drilled for the steering cable bolt and for the reverse cable. Definitely eliminate that long bolt (arrow) that connects the steering cable. Any machine shop should easily be able to make you an arm and broach the keyway for you. Attached is a concept drawing.

So either I'm really confused or I had a different style bucket before my diverter.
I had a JC also, still have the bucket and all the hardware.

I like how both cables are on the same side. Makes for a simple clean bracket.
