Title: dune buggy rack
Post by: Beaveretriever on February 23, 2010, 04:06:16 PM: looking for a truck bed mounted dune buggy rack. i havent seen them around in awhile. i have a 105" sand rail that weighs no more than 1000lbs and im running out of room to store another trailer so i thought that this would work alot better. i know that someone here knows what im talking about, because i cant really find a pic.

I know exactly what you're talking about, I helped my old man build one for our dune buggy when I was a young un. Have you thought about making one? Seems to me some 1/4" X 2" angle, some 1.5" .125 wall box tubing and some welding rod should do the trick.

That's all the more reason you should make it yourself, or have the Snapper do it, I'm sure you could talk him into it ;)

i found one last night on craigslist down in garbage grove for a good price, but its for a long bed, i have a short bed :mad:. so i need to measure and cut, but i think that i can get this rack from this guy cheaper than i can get the material for.
