Title: In need of some Berk JC pump parts
Post by: More2LifeThanMPG on September 16, 2013, 12:32:18 PM
So I was out running this weekend after the minor make over I did on my 460, and well surprise surprise I now have to much motor for the hull.

So I am looking for place diverter and a ride plate. And the misc parts needed to add these items. Please let me know if you have any of this.
Thank you

No place diverter. But I do have whole JC with hydraulic jet-o-vater for sale.

What are the signs of too much motor for a hull? I've never been on a boat with too much motor so I'm just curious. Thanks

I can send you some plans to build your own trim tabs.

Thanks but I don't have any of the tools needed to do that. I saw your thread, was thinking about it.

All you really need tool wise is a drill, angle grinder, large speed square, some regular drill bits and a large countersink drill bit.

Call Duane from HTP or ARS marine... they both carry the bolt on shoe/ ride plate. Make sure to let them know what intake and bowl you have as there is one for the C and two for split(tall/short) cradles...I added the bolt on and set the plate at 3 up from keel to help out porpoise and overall performance. Helped out alot.

Yeah I looked up both them on their websites. If it comes down to it I'll go that route, but I'd rather not buy everything new.

They come up every now and then used... its the shoe you need in good shape. The ride plate can be made to exact by the press at your local metal supply. I have an extra plate from Duane you can have. Its been drilled for shoe and rail strength mounts ect... I have seen his shoe and plate used for 100-150 on this site and performance.

Yeah it's just a waiting game at this point, it will come sooner or later. I just need to be on it when they show up. Haha
