Title: Looking for 460 snails and logs
Post by: Dylanmicheal620 on November 23, 2014, 05:11:30 PM
Previous owner ran dry & blew two fist sized wholes on both sides
Was curious if anyone has some thru transom water cooled exhaust or snails and logs I can purchase
Located in Rancho cucamonga but I'm willing to drive or have them shipped to me

I have a set of thru bolt Harman for 350 with snails. The snails still have the step down an you can cut the lower off to gain 3 1/2 if desired.  The thru bolt will allow for a better seal an give you the ability to use a good felpro gasket. The thru bolt also has the water jacket going up to ports which allow for a more controlled log under heat as ford heads have weak cooling around ports. This is one of the reasons the flange type log will warp an leak at ports guaranteed.

I have a set of aluminum center riser manifolds complete.   Pretty rare and I would assume would breath much better than logs.

I'll try and get a pic to post

Way better exhaust.  If RD had the down pipes this would be a complete piece of cheese. If not. Some copper fittings and some pipe and you're golden.

River Dad is great to deal with.

Are they a true 460 with single bolt on or the chevy with the adapter? Rarely see a dual bolt port 460 center rise.

No they are true 460 manifolds...   I've only seen a few, they seem pretty rare...
