I had no clue. I was just at Mead last year with several 2-stroke stand ups. No one said anything to me.

Not to burst your bubble mobmentality but a 650sx won't do 50 to 55 with a 180 lb rider. I had an 01 Yamaha Superjet with a 701 dual carb motor that was clocked with a radar gun at 52 stock and I weighed about 150 at the time. Not trying to burst your bubble just letting you know and potential buyer. I've had a lot of stand ups and had a 650 sx that ran great. Never a problem with it. It'll do 40 to 42 no problem which is pretty quick on a little float. And for 400 bucks that's a steal

50mph is pushing it.  My 650sx runs right around 40mph with a milled head, factory pipe exhaust, carb, WC intake, fiber reeds, and a loader.  40 mph is plenty on a standup

I had a ton of fun with my standups. Wouldn't mind a 701 square nose someday to play with.

My 750sxi's would run mid 40s with a 180 lb rider. Had to play with grates and ride plates to tune out the porpoising.

Agreed ^. I had my 02 with a b pipe and 0 degree bars and it was a rocket and still reliable. Now I have a 91 square nose with a 62t 701 dual carb motor that  rips as well. Stand ups are a good investment when you can't take the boat out during the middle of the day

Hahahah well that's what I was told... its not my ski .   My bro in laws.   Shit either way 40+ is fast on a little ski .  Maybe he felt like he was doing 50-55 lmfao...  or maybe his buddies boat speedo was off hahahah ..

I know of a place in Redlands where you can buy insurance wrecks cheap. I picked up a 2011 Honda turbo ski on a single axle for 600 bucks for my 14' aluminum fishing boat project. I'll see if I can find the number and post it up

I've had a 440, 750sxi and now a square nose 701 yamaha. 440 was fun but gutless, 750 was way fast with a lot of aftermarket goodies. The 701 (61x motor) has a lot of torque and does well on top end for a bone stock ski. Loader grate and skat trak impeller made night and day difference. I ride several times a week now that I live at the lake. Yamaha is the way to go.
