Mopar logs
« on: September 21, 2008, 08:11:04 AM »
Do any of you guys have a line on a set of log exhaust for a BB Mopar?  Please keep me in mind, I'm not in a hurry, this is a long term project.

$1400  :o  for logs and snails for new.  That is why I am looking for used.  I would rather have that 14K for aluminum heads.   It would be so easy if I wanted to build a Ferd or a Chubby but I DON'T.   Bah ha ha ha ha

If it isn't together after NEXT summer, my offer of a great running 455 Olds will still be good.  I have only put about 50 hours on it since the beginning of the year.  50 hours of drinking, tanning, fun-timing, girl-watching, drinking, skiing, racing, drinking, girl catching, water sporting fun.   >:D

I may have a way to get some exhaust logs from a Marine Power 440 from a barefoot boat that was totalled, they are on an inboard engine, can you make them work?, I am going to make the call tomorrow if you need them, I think they are made out of stainless steel, can't remember....

Cool :-)

Here is how I found mine - I kept searching for boats with a BB Mopar in it. I found one that the guy was selling separate, so I bought the engine for $300. It had the logs, risers, valve covers, and a bunch of other parts (even a custom made baffled 8 qt oil pan and pickup). Unfortunately the mounts were for 23" wide stringers (keep that in mind if you need mounts), mine were 26 inches.

Anyway I have some parts you may need that were left over.... exhaust logs not in that list unfortunately.

I'll keep looking for ya too. You need someone like the guy I bought it off of - didn't know/care/like Mopars and thought the best way to sell the hull was to get rid of the mopar....

What evil could be so hideous that it would turn a man away from Ma Mopar?   I couldn't imagine ever being without at least one.  Sat in an 09 Challenger on Saturday, its not a very big car inside considering the dimensions outside.  Learned that the SRT8 have instrumentation that will give you 0-60 time, eighth and quarter mile time, AND g-forces, plus some other things.  That kinda knowledge could get a guy in trouble  >:D

Do I have to apologize for jacking my own thread?

Spoke to my MOPAR freak freind with the 440, he needs to speak to his brother (who owns the boat) and will take some pics for me tomorrow, I will get them E-mailed to me, then we can figure out if they will even work...Oh and they are stainless steel but have no risers, they just drop off at the rear like the old Edelbrocks...
