I lost a nice set of 461x casting heads when the machine shop I was dealing with closed down.  I was lucky enough to get my 327 short block parts back but no heads.

I think I might have a set of buildable cores.  I'll try to get a look at them before it gets dark tomorrow and let you know.

ok, the reason why. first most camel backs are 64 cc cambers, a few were 62, most of the 62s were the smaller valve though. main  reason is i dont want to take the motor out and rebuid the whole thing yet. if i could get a set of these heads put some valves in them or redue the one that are in there, i can give my engine a little more umf!!! yah let me know what you got, im interested!!!!  ;)

A lot of the 305 vortec heads are 53cc with a much better burning chamber. My neighbor is running them in his 55.

Disagree GT!  ;)

Since when does 1960's technology beat a set of fast burns? 62cc combustion chambers and an extremely efficient runner design, hands down choose them every time.

I have a set of naked camels here, I will check them for cracks this weekend...

No bark....for that matter no Corvette mentioned either....Besides, I only do big block Vettes...I'm kind of a hard core 68 roadster, big block, four speed and side pipes kind of dude...No air conditioning radio delete...

I know, I'm a sikko.. :screwy:

But yeah, I have to agree, if building a numbers matching deal, then you gotta go back to old school...But if looking to smear some cologne on a stinky small block and just add 30 HP, a set of Vortecs cost almost nothing and do the job... ;)
