closed bow...no 2 or 3 step decks or cabin cruisers

something like a spectra, hallet, schiada, etc

budget is $3k to $5k

Your probably gonna be right at 5k for any of those or anything in good condition. Thats a tall order but I'll keep an eye out $:-\$

about a month ago, there was 3 spectra's for sale that more then met the expectations - a day late and a dollar short.

I'm trying to go get this one. It's a 77 Centurion 21' mini day cruiser. The guy says it has a 402ci Chevy? Never heard of one personally. Anyways, he was advertising it without the motor for $2200 and another $2500 turnkey.

I like it a lot and would probably have already bought it, if I didn't have this damn thing around my ankle... I'm not really allowed to go boat shopping.

Please don't mistake me for a Chevy guy but I believe that a 402 is just an overbored 396 that GM was using in the low compression HO motors like the Firebirds and trucks of the late 70's to early 80's. Pretty common actually.

Good luck on the search Brad. I am having a lot of fun with my big tug boat, but I am still not used to being able to cruise over some of the real shallow spots like I did with my 18er.
