Still looking. I want to find an affordable used loader to get an idea if I'm on the right track.

I wouldn't put a cheap or used loader grate in it. When loader grates fail it can be catastrophic and sometimes deadly. Spend the money on the best loader you can afford. I know first hand!

Stainless hardware has no place on anything with a load on it........ Is that your broken up shit? Holy fuck.

So you've never borrowed loaders for testing?

Running one for an hour and running one for five years is not really a fair comparison.

I've run  aluminum impellers in excess of 900 horsepower too, but only for baseline testing, and the big Orange comfort coat is worn while testing is under way.....

FWIW...

Loaders don't cost enough to cheap out on.

My post wasn't a response to you. I was making a point that it's a common practice to borrow loaders for testing and that is my intent with finding a suitable used loader.

I thought I was validating your point....

I may have misread.

I have this one for $50. Came with my Daytona, I think Harold Bruce picked the style and installed it for the previous owner. Drilled for 3/8 bolts.

Located in Santa Clarita. I'm running B1 loader.

The load on the strut bolts is no where even close to that of a loader, add that to the fact that the strut is through bolted to fiberglass and the bolt count. Stainless is fine, try to find flat Allen heads though.....

Don't forget the blue Loctite.
