I have a portable Sirius device I use in all my toys including a boom box (they all use same cradle)while in the trailer at river...(pandora doesn't work to well at lower river). I paid 300 for lifetime subscription back in 2004.

I have a Kenwood head unit with XM and it works perfectly

I had  SiriusXM Edge unit in my last truck, and had their. Marine kit in the pontoon. I took my Egde unit out, and plugged in into the water proof housing in the boat, and never lost music, no matter where we were. That was the best part is not losing reception. The kit has everything to install, housing, remote, wiring, SAT/GPS antenna for around $50

Our toon HS the aluminum hardtop to begin with before I built the custom top it now has. I had it mounted on top of the hardtop. Once I built the new canvas/hardtop o mounted it to the top of the drivers console, and it worked great, without interception from the canvas top. As I suspect you would be just fine with the Bimini tops. We enjoyed the crap out of it, especially since I did a full complete restoration/customization on it

you can upgrade your existing Sirius account to add the "Mobile" version to your phone. Your phone then becomes the receiver and you pick stations just like you do in the car using the Sirius mobile app on your phone.

Then you hook your phone up to your boat radio or your boom box and there ya go!

Now that is awesome.

I used the phone app in the Nordic, with 50/50 results. It works great if you have phone service. But since it tells on the service you have on your phone, it doesn't always work well in the middle of the desert where we boat!! Lol

What you guys use for speakers,their location,batteries...dedicated just for radios w/Perko's? Just curious.

In the Nordic I had 6 6x9's, powered by the JVC head unit, with 1200w 12" and matching amp.(2-batts) In the pontoon I had 6-6.5's, 2-6x9's also on a Kenwood head unit, with 850w 10"/amp.(2-batts) The new Cheetah deckboat has a Kenwood heady it, 8- Infinity 6.5's running on 850w amp, and a 1500w 12", running on amp.(3-batts) this one definitely rocks the beach/cove
