Not to rain on the Bullhead parade, but the proposed race course is bordering on suicide... The Az side of the river right there is only about 6 feet deep above some rock bars. To flip, or submarine a boat right there would be like hitting a rock wall. 3 weeks ago the river was way down for yearly maintenance and you could see the rocks and rock bars above the water level.....You could've walked 1/2 way across the river and still been about waist deep.... I brought this up last year when there was a push to run here, (I'd love it, 5 minutes from my shop to the ramp), but man is it shallow at the up river turn area on the Az side of the river..... As well as the down river area around Rotary Park, again, on the Az side....... The main channel is one the Ca side, and yeah, it's plenty deep over there, but that depth doesn't run wide enough for more than 3 or 4 boats running down river side by side..... Yes, just about any boat will clear the bottom under normal operation, on both sides, but if something were to happen, it's waaaaay to shallow.....
