Okay Brad, here are some details...
Mark and I split the week end each winning two 1st place heats and two 2nd place heats. Mark took first place overall with the tie breaker having the fastest combined time. On Sunday morning Mark was charging hard from the outside and I did everything I could to stay ahead of him. The result was my time was 5% over the previous Comp Jet record resulting in me winning the Idaho Cup. I give Mark a symbolic piece of the Idaho cup for his pushing me to drive the boat harder than I ever had. I missed the mink by only 1.5%.
Every class at Burley this year exceeded their previous record. The hydro, CJ and SS were the top three. The Governers Cup (second runner up) was won by a hydro, the Idaho Cup (runner up) was won by me and the Faulkner Cup and Mink was won by Ty Newton exceeding his SS record by 6.5%.
Thanks for the complements for me and Mark, we both worked and drove our a$$e$ off with no engine problems on either boat... It was a great week end and we were both winners... What could be better than that?
