i cant wait untill i go home today and see the video..(work blocks videos) got a shit load of pics to go through myself, ill get them to brad asap.....saturday i got to go for a ride in the scissor lift with the turn judges and got good pics from there...i missed the crash by a few seconds i was taking pics of the front boats, waiting for them to come by and i heard ohhhh and awwwwws and looked up...

All kidding aside, Brad did what a lot of seasoned drivers may not have had the mindset to do, he thought and acted like someone with alot more seat time than he has. Great job of thinking on the go Brad, that Rogers can be replaced, Nick can't be.

I was in lane 4 at the start of the race. Soon after the flagged droppped I hit some side rollers that unsettled the boat and back off a bit. Going into turn 1 Toby, Harold & Bruce were just ahead of me and I tucked inside to take lane 1 coming out of the turn. I couldnt see anything to the right side of me but jet wash. I didnt know anything happen until the flares went up part way down the back straight. On the restart I was again lane 4 and did get pushed way outside coming out of turn 2 having to back out to coming up close to the rocks. Its all about racing, but I would think you need to hold your lane when there are boats next to you. I didnt see any one person push to the outside we were all just getting after it. Lance

It's good to see no one is seriously injured. There were several mishaps and MANY close calls on this tight course. IMO, should have broke the boats down to 2 heats and a main like the original plan was. It was scary enough watching from the shore with all the sideways boats and roosters going on. I think it will be alot more comfortable in Ming

Hey Brad, found you a new race boat!, looks pretty safe, might have to run a "small block" though.

All kidding aside, the safety crews were on it, they had a very busy weekend, normally we (river nerds) hear people saying things like "where the hell are the safety crews", I think out of the many times they were needed, they were on scene before the spray hit the water...Cudos fellas!
