Lucas oil cuts Havasu down to 1000ft
« on: September 19, 2014, 10:07:15 AM »
Got the word from Lucas oil this morning that they will be cutting the Havasu race to 1000ft. I am happy about it. The track really gets choppy at the end. This will be the last race in Havasu, can't wait till were racing in Parker next year. The venue is cool, but the weather always gets us at Havasu.

is anyone aware that in Parker theres a bunch of scaffolding a few feet under water still? I remember there was a bunch pulled up before the SCSC races a few years ago, but this past june, i was cruising through that area and spotted a bunch of it maybe 3-4 feet under the water. Dangerous as hell that its still there.

Yep @ big river about 3 weeks ago my brother in law was pulling his wife for her annual bday wake board session lol and sure enough hit it. Good thing he was going slow and only caused 3k worth of damage.

should help out the racing venue since it tends to get blown out and choppy. Good luck jako

big river is on the other side of the dam. What I'm talking about is where they race in front of the bluewater casino.

Brad you are right, two years ago we pulled a lot of that stuff up and out that was on the track. The one you see that is there is sunk into the sand really deep. I had it hooked to the rescue boat with a 10k winch and it would sink the boat before coming up. We decided to leave it because of how deep it is there, but we will attempt it again some day with more divers and equipment.
