I'm hoping I might be able to make it in for a race this year. Really making the push as my grandfather is sick and he used to run Superstocks back in the 70s. It's something I always wanted to do while he was alive.
So my question is how much power is needed to even keep up? I know I don't have the money to win but I'm happy coming in dead last. It's all for fun. I just don't want to be in the way. Thanks in advance.
Depends who you want to "keep up with".
Honestly, the challenge is completing all the laps and making all the starts.
You must start to finish and you have to finish to win.
I feel you won't get made a fool of with a very reliable 500hp. It depends on the venue, but handling and consistency are a larger priority from my limited exposure. More so than straightaway speed anyway.
