Good enough for me! Thanks guys.  Wish me luck on the shake down run tomorrow. The boat should be good, but you never know since it's my first time on the water with it.

Dewey and his son joined me for the maiden voyage on Elsinore yesterday. The boat ran well and we didn't have any issues until the starter took a shit when we were leaving the cove to head back to the launch ramp. The ride plate also needs to be adjusted. It's angled down causing a severe porpoise if the diverter is angled too far up. Overall, I'm stoked on the new rig! Here are a few pics from the day.

Ok, it looks like we have the one in the middle. It's an 89.
We also have a Rogers Bonneville Classic. Same as Jordans 85 Advantage Classic

What motor and pump combo did you have in the Classic? Does yours have a ride plate? If so what angle is it set at? Any info about the hull is appreciated!

It's about time I updated this thread...

I did a couple "winter upgrades" to get her ready for the season. Keith (Crewchief) rebuilt the carb. It was cool to hear the changes he made and why. I can feel the improvement.

The next thing was pulling the pump for a rebuild. I sold the droop and old style diverter and replaced them with the HPH and new style diverter. The loader is now thru-bolted with 5/16" black oxide bolts and nylocks. It's a good thing I had the pump rebuild. Apparently, it had the wrong snap ring on it giving it excessive play. While it was apart I had an inducer installed.

With the changes the boat pulls hard and doesn't porpoise at any speed. This past weekend the boat ran the best it ever has.

It came back to San Diego a few years ago, but the previous owner had his family keep it registered in MO. It had been in the same family since 2002. I'm interested in the history of the boat. I haven't seen another Advantage using the 20' Bonneville Classic mold.

That is a beautiful boat! Tell me about the trailer fenders. Their not 7" wide, maybe 9 or 10 " wide and stainless if not mistaken?
And I am sharing your feelings redarding the river.
