Anyone know this float?
« on: May 01, 2017, 07:06:51 PM »
I bought this 77 Challenger 19' the other week from some dude in L.A.  He said he bought it from a guy in Elsinore who was an electrician I guess.  Trying to find more info on the motor.  460 ford with tunnel ram and 2 quick fuel carbs.  Already set up for nitrous.  Has the ports on the back of the tunnel ram (capped) and a switch on the throttle pedal.  Sounds mean as hell just wanna know what it is and has in it and maybe a little history.  Dude I bought it from didnt know shit.

Love Challengers, great looking boat!

I have had a few of them. Currently have this one my dad bought new in 77. Just finished putting it all back to original using a donor boat that was stored for 30 plus years.

By the way Challenger considered them 18 1/2 foot Semi V's.

Yeah looks like they painted it.  Needs redone bad.  Looks great from 10 ft away tho.  Ha ha.  All good as long as I get on the water again.

Damn.  Thought for sure someone would recognize this boat since it was from Elsinore.   Need to find out about the engine...
