Boat leaks, no big deal a lil silicone around the pump and everything is dandy...

But it like's to drink alot of water

Backed it in the river to let her run and all we did was make milkshakes

So i have a few options, fix the BBC or swap it out with the running BBF

I HATE BOATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did i mention im looking at another boat, and the Bahner is for sale

Sell the Bahner less motor , drop that motor in the DE-laminator and sell everything else off .
I learned a looong time ago.
If you have too many projects , none of them will get done .
I sold everything off except the boat , and next thing I knew , I was on the water .......
For years to come .
Got your box and paper work boxed up and will drop it off today .

Dont know yet, never took it off the trailer just let it run for awhile and it made milkshakes...

If it sat for a long time it might just be condensation, or maybe it ingested some water through the cab while sitting. Water was on the bottom of the pan, looked good until you started it $:-\$

Change the oil and run it on a hose.

but as close as you are to the river, i would dump it back in the river and run it on the trailer, that way you know you will not overpressurize it with the hose.

I pulled the valve cover off expecting to find some milkshake

Totally clean and only water no oil weird...

And it was a puddle. Oh ya , while it was running i heard a squeaking sound like a loose belt or pulley... It was the engine cause it got real loud before i shut it down, sounded like metal to metal

Im thinking the oil thinned way down or the pump took a crap. I think either way i will be pulling this engine out and going over it

Now the boat will just sit here till we get the registration issues figured out

Did i mention that I HATE OTHER PEOPLES BOATS..

OK heres the deal.....

the way i see it, i have 2 options to get this boat on the water quick...

options.
1. Buy another engine ( found one here locally for $1300 complete drop in and go)
2. Drop in the Ferd , which would mean changing the set up buying new exhaust and so on.........

OR yank this bitch, tear it down and see where we stand.... before you say dont tear it down, it made one hell of a sound before shut down.........Metal to metal squeal..

This is why im looking into another engine, i found one here by my pad. this guy is building it for a boat ( he has no boat )

Its standard 2 bolt main with cast pistons , new bearings/rings, Comp 292 cam/lifters, Edelbrock intake/carb closed chamber heads.. just need to add the oil pan and oil with all the goodies i have now, break the cam in and send my G/F's dad on his way.. Remember HE IS PAYING FOR THIS $HIT not me!! i have my own boat to pay for

This engine in the Eliminator is a Hardin marine block with 990 heads that i want to keep and build for a spare Eventually

So am i crazy or does it sound like a plan

I would LOVE to finish my boat this decade
