That's actually more expensive if you do the math. The kicker was I ran their break in oil first, which was 100 for THAT case, and to only run it a few hours was crazy, but I did it, lol. Now if I don't figure out where it's leaking from on the pan, this thing's gonna bleed me to death slowly like an ex-wife!   (Small leak, but after running the boats as hard and as long as we did sunday, quite a pool of oil in the bilge and it needs about a half qt.)

Lol there's the push. But you want GOOD oil, use what I use in the moo. The Blue one uses VR1 50 weight for now. Gonna change this winter when she gets a new engine! (And yeah, I'll figure out the oil leak, just a matter of cat and mouse time!)

We'll figure it all out, now onto the Submarine and the new Hallett, just dunno where I'm gonna go on those, lol

check out my alternator bracket. this thing is super custom. 
gotta get a new alternator. i had to break out the paddle for the first time with the boat. is there a standard bracket that'll work or do i gotta make one?

yeah the rock bar between the 2 islands.  only thing visible was the few weeds growing.  guess we were not the only ones to hit it bc the guy that came to help us said  he had just helped some one else. lol.  only had a few rocks wedged in the impeller.    gottem out and she ran great!!!!

Yeah i have noticed that as well about big river.  sometimes i will go up river and float down and get the oar out just to stay away from the edges and for every 5 to go by one will stop.

yeah i know what you mean i have been going there for 21 going on 22 yrs.  basically i was like a month old when i started going!! lol  as long as it doesnt get as bad as the strip i will be happy.  big river still has a few that care.  and dirty dan is one of those.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing. But it stayed on forever until the Hyfire unit fell off the firewall and knocked it off the first time (good thing too, woulda destroyed the hyfire!). The belt flipped inside out and always is when it comes off. Ordered a reduction deep groove crank pulley, any ideas or anyone have a larger deep groove alt pulley layin around? Gonna try a new belt when the pulley gets here, hopefully that'll fix it!

well heres an update.
seems like everytime i go out something else needs fixin.
i jacked the motor up and replaced the flywheel. no more starter drag boat starts great.
couple trips ago the thrust bearing was growling. pulled the pump. this week started disassembling it, great news, the shaft is worn way down and the impeller is toast. found a local "legend" doing work out of his shop. this guy rules! hes sleeving the shaft and putting a new impeller on. the impeller has been cavitated to death. it doesnt look like itll be done before the blythe trip, but it will be done right. along with the new to me impeller, hes putting in a undersized brass wear ring. the impeller i have been running is a standard "A", per his recomendations we are going to a standard "b". with the rebuilt pump its like a dyno and i dont have the horses to turn the impeller.
