Hope to learn here on where to go from here on my new hobby. After two runs at the lake everything seems strong. Still correcting little things and will need to buff it out a bit, but overall really happy so far.
454cbb 40 hrs on rebuild (2 seasons ago) 30 over, cam, pistons, rods, manifold, has 650 (?) on it now, stainless tanks, berlekley jet.

Needs some TLC for cosmetic stuff as far as I can tell, plus need a tach, reliable gas gage, and a decent momentart trimswitch.

I hope it is as bulletproof and relaible as the prior owner thought it was.
I could use some experineced help checking out stuff on it though.
For example-Bimini's-
buy from Overtons or have local tempe shop make one? Install vertically (the mounts) or on the horizontal? about 6 ft long? 3 or 4 bow? How high?

I think I know where it is, its down the street from where I work on 5th street between smith and the access road.
Regarding the mounting, waht kind of mounting screws do you use (drilling into hull...yikes).
Wood screws? or thru bolt/nuts?

Went out again last night at un pleasant and runs great, plenty of fun. Wifey really likes it. She named it the Dirga-Dirga

Is this a 1979 I assume? I am trying to dtermine if this is the BOSS or the DAY CRUISER model...
