How do Cole jets rate? Going to look at a 77 Cole with a built 350 400 hp jacuzzi with a droop and pd completely restored in 08. Was in hot boat magazine that year. $6500.
How would it compare to my 77 Kona 18' 460 400 hp Berkley je with pd?

Better built boat than your Kona (all tho I really like Kona's).
Going to ride rougher and not sure about the small block and def don't care for the Jacuzzi.

Ok! Just rode in it! Nice looking but the 350 is a disappointment . 54mph top speed with no whiplash.  My mild 460 would walk all over it. Too bad, really nice

Hondo made one which I have, Pantera (not sure if that's the way you spell it) made one and pretty sure there's one more company but I can put my finger on it. They are more and more rare 3 very season.

Brendella/Hondo came out with the T deck/pantera bottom, Jim Cole splashed it.
Pantera bottom rides rougher than a V-bottom.

Centurion made one as well (Pantera bottom) but no T deck to my knowledge.
Hondo also made a straight deck.

Sanger had one also, without the T-deck.
The V-bottom Sanger was faster than the Pantera bottom.

Not the Sanger Super Jet, it was the Custom Jet as I recall.
We sold a v-bottom hull to Jim Rich to replace the rescue boat.

He used to go on and on about the Sangers with the concave bottoms and how fast they are and blah blah blah....

I know, i should have known better. He did say it was pushing 400 hp. the same as my 460 but i guess the torque is way different.
