I've never had any dealings with Ernie, but he is always posting boats and parts in the "inland empire" craigslist ads. I've heard some people say a lot of the parts he has are pretty rough, but nothing bad about him directly. I've seen pics of this same boat in the other ads but nothing from the rear. He probably still has it because anyone willing to buy a pickle turned it down when they found it wasn't a tunnel or a flat. I'd like to see the bottom, but an odd boat no matter what.

bottom would be interesting... i wonder if it looks like a gullwing but with some sponsons?

thats the dumbest boat ive seen. whats the point?

its probably just a v bottom with sponsons grafted on it. the transom flip up thing looks dumb too.

I actually wonder if this is 1 solid hull....or if it was someones attempt at Frankensteining a look of a tunnel hull out of their shitbox vbottom.

either way, its unpractical. why? because if it was a good idea, there would be more than one of them out there. rare doesnt always mean better.

i think its a crusader, just a regular 18 v bottom with sponsoms added, makes it 20ft long. a guy named guy had one at the lake and was bragging how fast it was, raced and beat him by 10-12 boats at 1/8 mile and my boat was only a 85 mph boat. the are heavy boats

If I remember right Kachina boats were out of Phoenix and built a pretty good hull.

Now with that being said... With any boat you need to look closely at the floors, transom, stringers and hull for damage, rot or delamination before you put down any money.

I briefly did some research. Yes, they are out of Phoniex Started by Louie Majors in 1963. He died of a head injury and his partner from way back started them backup, I think in around 2010. Not much opinion on-line as to whether they were good boats.

That boat has been up and down on CL for almost two years. Never went and saw it or talk to the owner or multiple owners. Seems like a solid float for the price though.

This was my old boat i sold 3 summers ago. Great boat. Very reliable. When I had it everything was solid. No delam and the stringers were not swiss cheese. Looks the guy took good care of it.

Never gps'd it but i think it spun around 5500-5600 rpm's. Handled small to medium chop pretty good. Its a great river runner. One thing the he didn't mention in the add is that the botton is speed coated.
