I went through the same thing.  I ended up buying a family cruiser and kept my hot rod.  I just could not let my boat go .  If they still don't like it we'll I I will sale the family boat and be back by my self on the hot rod.  You have a nice boat and a lot time and money to make it how you want it.  Try something simple and cheap and see if it changes .  If not we'll you still have the hot rod.

Did they say what specifically scares them? Low freeboard, too close to the water? The engine noise?

Maybe somebody has some ideas about how to make your family more comfortable if we know what the specifc issue is.  ???

Get a bigger daycruiser with logs and an engine cover.  Kids and momma can sun on the hatch and it is so much better with the motor quieted down.  You don't realize until you get out of a covered engine boat and into one like yours, but the noise is a big deal by the end of a long ski run or beer run.
