The 96 was mine brand new.  I sold it to guy named Mike in El Cajon back in 98 or 99.  That was a great boat and when I last saw it a GS a few years ago it was still clean, a little weathered, but still very clean.

The 84 was my friend's boat, he used to run around Blue Water Lagoon in Parker.  It was a medium layup and a very nice boat also.  The only issue with this boat is that is NOT the origianl gel, it was painted by one of the newer owners a few years back.   Good luck with the search Nate!!  Call Tony when you can,  he's got a good eye and says that other boat is pristine............  RD

No problem Nate.  It just so happens that the CP world is a pretty small one and it seems like all my old stuff has been for sale lately ;D     My brother was just saying the other day," I wonder what happened to the old 19' in El Cajon?"   Clicked onto CL and wala.........  I loved that boat....  Actually the 84 was the first CP we ever saw back at bluewater lagoon in high school.  That thing started it all

I think that thoughs are Pat's old wicked molds. I wouldn't do that to Pat.
Besides Im sticking to either a CP or TX-19 hull.

Last I read, Pat and Cheetah were on the up and up.
I personally like Pats gel better .
Cheetah's just seems very "east coast" to me ....

Sorry, I dont have any pics of it from before it was painted.  When it was factory gelled, it was a tan base with orange/brown/ and red panels.   It was used primarily around Blue Water Lagoon below parker.   Jason

PS - Nate, that looks like a pretty damn good deal!!!

Try U-Ship. Might be worth not having to spend 52 hours in the truck to get a boat. I have used them a few times and had great luck. I bought my Sanger from Reeding Ca and had it delivered to Houton TX for 1600.00 and that was when fuel was much higher than now. I did the math and it only cost me 350.00 more for them to bring it to me than go get it myself. and 350.00 was well spent to not live in the truck for 4-5 days. Just my .02
I also had a motorcycle shipped from Fl to TX this year and cost me 350.00 total.

From his emails he doesnt seem very flexible on the price. Well okay he did knock 800 bucks off, still I dont see a 9K dollar boat there, alot of scratches and rusted out hardware. I will post pics of it after I get back from looking at it tomorrow night.

well?
That boat was a little rougher than I expected. He did come down to 6500 bucks, but I decided to pull out on this one. Alot of rot: bulk heads, floor, seat frames, ect... had some funky repair done on the bottom just under the bow eye. He said the last owner used to beach the thing. Motor wasn't all that special. Alot of stress cracks throughout the whole thing. I know these boats are light and theres always going to be stress cracks but I dont feel like dumping 8-10grand in a boat just to get it where Id be happy with it. Id rather keep my $$$ and keep saving up for something I want.
This is just my opinion. This is the first CP I've looked at and so now I have something to go off of now.

I e-mailed him last night and said he would take $6K, minus engine. Was the rot and repair in poor condition? My buddy sold a race ready CP hull with pump for $5.5K 3 years ago, so im sure there around.

Whatever. Alright here it goes: 1987 TX 19 Condor, heavy layup lake boat, mildly built 454 w/ oval port heads, Berk. pump w/shoe & ride plate. Its going to be a project boat for me but I am going to fix a couple of things right away so that I can use it this season.

Congrats Nate!!!!!   Nice looking ride.   I'm really interested to see if the ride lives up to your expectations,  I think you will be very impressed.  One thing you might want to look at is shoe depth before the first outing.  Throw a straight edge under the boat and see how low the biting edge of the shoe is in relation to the bottom.  Should be close to level or maybe even a little above keel.   I remember I bought one one time and immediately took it out and it ran really hard until I lifted and almost ended up sitting on the deck.  Turns out there was about 20 spacers under the shoe and it was about 1/2 below the keel.....

Congrats on the find and i think Boost should be the new "gullwing embasador".  Way to do your homework guys and come up with a good find!!   More pics!!!!!!      RD

I saw that one, I am looking for something less motor. but that is a good deal, How do you like yours?

I literally came home with the boat Saturday morning at 8am. Crashed out for 2 hrs. Woke up and had to drive down to the 710 freeway where I've been all weekend long. Working all this coming week in Bakersfield (which means Im staying out there). My work schedule is really crazy right now. Im working pretty much every weekend untill October (but I have Labor day and 4 days after off!) and all my usual work during the week. I want to complain but I really cant right now...I just keep telling myself that it will pay off down the road.
So I have this coming weekend off. This weekend will be the first outing. Nowhere special, keeping it local, want to take my time and check and go through everything before I start ripping it up.
This winter I plan to take everything out and re-do all the rigging (right now its a little oklahomie), re uphoster the seats, carpet, etc.....
The motor is mildly built 454 with a cam.  He gave me an extra 454 block, 2 cranks (need turning), 2 pair of cylinder heads (oval port), a polished tunnel ram (oval port) with 2 660's, and a bunch of other misc items.
Now after talking about it I cant wait to take it out!
I did climb underneith and check out the bottom, but not with a straight edge. The shoe appears to be a little above the keel but I will check forsure a little closer on that with a straight edge.
It needs alot of work, both the boat and trailer but this is what I wanted. My last boat I bought was all fixed up and ready to go and I couldn't stand it. To many bugs to work out and did know anything about it. This time I will know this one alot better.  ;D
1st outing there will be more pics and video!

No can do...my little work truck cant pull my boat.
Besides when I buy a new boat like this I like to spend some quality time with it first before someone starts chiming in with there opinions. NOT saying everyone is like that, just thats how I am.
Looks like this weekend will be the first outing.

This one:  http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/boa/1297205666.html

I called this guy one day and he said he was very firm on the price (then $13,500) I bet you show him 8 or 9 grand and he jumps on it.

I gave him an e-mail and he would take $10.5K, which i'm sure is a good deal.  At about $10/gal for 110 octane plus, I'll stick to looking for a lower compression motor, so I dont have to tear it open and lower it a bit. He didn't take to kind of lower offers, above $9K.  Nice boat, but I think it'll need some work.
