I saw that one, I am looking for something less motor. but that is a good deal, How do you like yours?

I literally came home with the boat Saturday morning at 8am. Crashed out for 2 hrs. Woke up and had to drive down to the 710 freeway where I've been all weekend long. Working all this coming week in Bakersfield (which means Im staying out there). My work schedule is really crazy right now. Im working pretty much every weekend untill October (but I have Labor day and 4 days after off!) and all my usual work during the week. I want to complain but I really cant right now...I just keep telling myself that it will pay off down the road.
So I have this coming weekend off. This weekend will be the first outing. Nowhere special, keeping it local, want to take my time and check and go through everything before I start ripping it up.
This winter I plan to take everything out and re-do all the rigging (right now its a little oklahomie), re uphoster the seats, carpet, etc.....
The motor is mildly built 454 with a cam.  He gave me an extra 454 block, 2 cranks (need turning), 2 pair of cylinder heads (oval port), a polished tunnel ram (oval port) with 2 660's, and a bunch of other misc items.
Now after talking about it I cant wait to take it out!
I did climb underneith and check out the bottom, but not with a straight edge. The shoe appears to be a little above the keel but I will check forsure a little closer on that with a straight edge.
It needs alot of work, both the boat and trailer but this is what I wanted. My last boat I bought was all fixed up and ready to go and I couldn't stand it. To many bugs to work out and did know anything about it. This time I will know this one alot better.  ;D
1st outing there will be more pics and video!

No can do...my little work truck cant pull my boat.
Besides when I buy a new boat like this I like to spend some quality time with it first before someone starts chiming in with there opinions. NOT saying everyone is like that, just thats how I am.
Looks like this weekend will be the first outing.

This one:  http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/boa/1297205666.html

I called this guy one day and he said he was very firm on the price (then $13,500) I bet you show him 8 or 9 grand and he jumps on it.

I gave him an e-mail and he would take $10.5K, which i'm sure is a good deal.  At about $10/gal for 110 octane plus, I'll stick to looking for a lower compression motor, so I dont have to tear it open and lower it a bit. He didn't take to kind of lower offers, above $9K.  Nice boat, but I think it'll need some work.
