LAKE NACIMENTO

I LIVE IN VEGAS AND WILL BE MOVING TO ATASCADRO IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS. HOW COME NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS LAKE? I JUST SOLD MY HALLETT AND DOWN SIZED TO 77 CENTURION DAYCRUISER AND WOULD LIKE TO MEET SOME PEOPLE IN THAT AREA I'M 38 MY WIFE IS 35 AND WE HAVE A SON THAT IS 8 I WILL ALSO BE LOOKING FOR WORK IN THE MARINE INDUSTRY. I HAVE 20 YEARS EXPERINECE IN JETS VDRIVES STERN DRIVE AND OUTBOARDS,SHANE

You don't want to go there.

Last I heard, they drained the lake and are useing it as a landfill

I wouldn't go there, the mosquitos carry five gallon Jeep cans and the Hornets sound like Life Flight Helicopters....Lake San Antonio sucks too, the water smell like pee and the racoons will carry off small children............................... ............

Lace Nacemiento and Lake San Antonio

I also live within five minutes from Lake Anderson, sometimes Modesto res. and Oroville. And don't forget Shasta and Whiskeytown lakes.

Re Naci and San Antonio , its been a shitty water year and both lakes have been really low (20 to 50 % (but usable) , we have been boating here for thirty plus years . Both these lakes are great,We have a place at Nac and it is definately more the roll bar crowd , S/A is the laid back and Hot rod crowd . Re the Marine industry (local)its "May to Sept" deal all the local shops are small family operations everyone else has "tanked" not much bus locally for us (fortunatley were a dot com as well ) I will tell you a person who wants the PWC crowd could make a killing ! I don't know why GT Jets is so anti Naci. I am a local. Grew up there and have some of my most finest memories from there. Like the time my buddy threw a runt candy an d it landed in the front of this girls bathing suit bottom and she let me take it out and ...well you get the picture. LOL I love Naci. Always have and always will. It is a great lake for middle of the week runs and non holiday weekends. A real ocean on holidays though.

I'm not at all anti Naci...quite the contrary, that was intended to be a funny (trying to keep the lake to myself LOL...

I like both LSAR and Naci, but for totally different reasons...IMHO Nacemiento is perfect for a weekend trip, whereas LSAR is good for the three or four day deals, mainly because you get the lake to yourself on the weekdays and the campsites are more group freindly.

LOL Right on. Sorry I read that wrong. It woud be nice if it were more locals/ respectful visitors. I can think of a few occasions where myself or a friend has gotten into it or almost gotten into with some drunk visitor on a rental pontoon boat trying to tie up to you boat because there are 3-4 hot drunk girls dancing and they want to get close. Usually to close casuind some unwanted bumps on your boat. Not Cool. Not to mention driving out of the 5mph from the narrows when there was water in the lake and picking up everyone else's trash because their to hammered to care and probably won't be out till next year.

Anyways sorry I am ranting. Naci is a great lake. Fun for a party if you can deal with the madness. Or you could drop by dip creek and hang out with some cool locals or as my friends and I have been called since high school the "lake rats".
