I would order it thru someone with a regular store front. It would make returns/problems soooo much easier to work out (and small claims easier to file  )  You have had so many false starts and bad info, why do you want to do this to yourself.  Summit and Speed-O-Motive are just 2 who come to mind right now. Pinch pennies later, do your motor right.

I have to take the block back to the machine shop, to hone the cylinders , install cam bearings and whatever else needs to be done.   Another $200 and he will install the kit...... Come on tax check..........

2Sav -- Don't wanna distract you here but have you considered getting a runner from a salvage yard to use for the summer while you build one over the winter?  At the rate things are moving on this project you are going to be late and broke come June & July.  We all wanna see ya out on the water.

On a side note, I was just looking at the RSVP list for Parker.  I'm just guessing here but it looks to me like there will be very few boats that will do 60+mph and even less that are going to be pushing 85mph. Building your "BigDog" motor should take all the time and caution that you can spare. Don't rush it for Parker in June.

Yeah that was taken into consideration, and even went to the salvage yard... They said $350 for a engine with no gaurantees it will run and i have to pull it out. I have even looked for junker cars/truck on the side of the road 4 sale, but nothing worth chancing.. At this point i dont care what engine i put in it as long as it runs.....Not even worried about speed that will come later.......... No way im making Parker.

It could be 30 weeks and i still dont think ill get it done....
I have seen alot of boats for sale cheap out here, nothing purdy but they are turn key....

I think im almost to the point of putting the Bahner on ebay, save my money and buy something turn key
