just got passed down a jetboat and since motor needs rebuild, i need to pull. Do I need to remove the bell housing to disconnect the shaft from pump. There is a small access panel on top of bell housing so dont know if i go thru it to disconnect or will housing come out after removing bolts and saddle bolts. Thanks for any help you could give me. jake

Sounds like a 3-point mount, remove "saddle" u-bolts, front plate mounts, and pump is splined to the driveline (slip)
pics would tell the story...
