I just looked at a 2009 f250 with the 6.4l diesel but a few of my buddies are saying the motor is junk. Lots of problems with the egr, turbo, and cooling. Do any of you guys have any experiences with this?

We've had a few at work and have fotten rid of all of them except my service truck. EGR issues, turbos, cams, injectors to name a few.
My service truck lost 2 injectors at under 40k. Ford wouldn't warranty it. Claimed there were signs of moisture. Diesel fuel does have a slight bit of water, hence the reason for a water seperator. Needless to say, 8k for a new fuel system.
Personally I wouldn't buy one.
I'll keep my 15 y/o 7.3 and keep rollin

I have a 2007 f250 6.4l, I have had it for two years, never had an issue with it. I have 145,000 miles on it. It's been a reliable truck for me. It's all about maintenance on these trucks. I have the dealership do all the maintenance on it.
