A friend of mine told me to ditch the saddlebag tank setup and install a bow tank. I thought for a second about what he said but had difficulty coming up with enough "Pros" to outway the "Cons" of a saddlebag setup.
The Engineer in me thinks of weight of fuel (8 pounds a gallon, 12-18 gallon tank would weigh in at 96-144lbs) and the weight of the tank, fuel lines, etc. and the whole object is to get the bow up and out of the water for more speed.
Then my towards a friend that has a 79 Kona with a Bow tank and a 454 and has no problems getting the nose out of the water and getting it into the low 60's(with GPS) with 4 people in it.
So out of curiousity now, Not saying I am doing this to the Hondo but what is everyones thoughts to benefits, preference, and reasoning.
