I've got a 71 Tahiti Torino with a Hardin Marine 455, Berkeley jet , and through transom exhaust all original setup. I've had this boat for the past 20yrs and its performed flawlessly. Its pretty much just a lake boat, but once or twice a year I put it in salt water as we literally a thousand yards from the bay.
      I took it out in the bay last weekend and ended up getting caught in some extremely rough water that really knocked the boat around. When I got home and opened the engine cover to get ready to flush the block there was milky oil all over the right side of the engine and on the bottom of the engine cover directly above the oil filler neck. Pulled the dipstick and nothing but chocolate milk.
      Its seems this beating the boat took must have something to do with the water in the oil, as this has never been an issue before.
Has anybody had this happen, is there another way for water to get in the oil other than a blown gasket or cracked head?
The engine fires up and runs perfectly fine, don't see any obvious leaks when running it with the hose connected.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
