Anti-Siphon Valves......What are you using if any?
« on: January 17, 2018, 01:23:28 PM »
Is there a better system than the hose barb style or I saw an npt to flare style? Both looked pretty twinkie. I wanted to use either braided teflon hose with an fittings or hard line and fittings throughout. The anti - siphon valves look so small, performance wise aren't looking too cool.
There's got to be something that is still Coast Gaurd approved.

Just to say it out loud. The braided hose isn't USCG approved.....

If the fuel pick up tubes are accessible without removing any upholstery or access panels, you could get away with ball valves.

The best anti siphons you can find are made by IMCO, I think they were called monster checks. I'm looking for them now.

So, looking into it, the valves were deemed untrustworthy and pulled from the market.

Are you trying to be legal for sake of inspection? Are you running two tanks?

These are the best pics I could find at the moment, but I do have ball valves on each tank and can access them with the hatch closed.
