New to jet boating (need some advice) currently have a 454 with log exhaust, thinking of installing the bassett headers. I notice on some of your beautiful boats both long and short collectors. Any advice on which one? Its a 85 Taylor SJ Model. Do the muffers work good? thanks

I don't know if you'll see any difference in power in a good running lake/river boat.  I'm running big bell (long) Bassetts because i'm trying to stay with the 70's vibe.  The shorty style is more modern currently and necessary for the really powerful boats looking for every bit of performance.

Mufflers are another subject altogether... Many lakes have sound limits and to get close with headers you'll have to add some type of baffle or muffler.
