I was just wondering... I'n getting leaks at the Brass water injection fittings on the headers, cannot tighten any more, heat has hardened the brass, so i've order'ed new fittings. the question is should i put any thread dope on the fittings? also how about Restrictor Jets for the header water pressure T-Valve?
Just to make sure, there are weep holes on the bottom of the primaries next to the injection fittings. Your leak isn't coming from there is it?
Also how much water is coming out of the headers at idle? Should be none or no more than a fine mist.
You can get the restrictors, but you might need to drill them out to "fine tune" them to get the correct amount of water.
Or like Bob said, you can put a ball valve somewhere in the line that comes out of the intake manifold to feed the Basset tee. Some guys run this line all the way to the drivers seat and have the valve there so they can control the water manually at will.
