Batts & Bilge pumps

so need to pick up some new batts, running duals and want one for the start and other for stereo and aux. what are some good and not a strain on the wallet batts?

also

Bilge pumps looking for one while running the boat if needed and one for when beached or tied up that while start on its own. any suggestions would be great thanks.

I use Rule exclusively.

They make an 1100 GPH that is fully automatic. I love them.

As for batteries, Interstate makes Costco batteries, I've bought 7 so far and have not had an issue.

I know rule pretty much the shit when it comes to pumps but I got a 800gph pump from Walmart with a built in automatic float for like 35$. 3 seasons and still works perfect. I think something comparable from rule was close to 100$. As far as batteries I've got a optima in the jet boat but two of those Walmart interstate group 27's in my bass boat and they kick ass. Constantly getting drained/ re charged from the trolling motor and still not one problem

This isn't just a Walmart thing. Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, Kohl's among others are all doing the same practices.

Not sure about the pump, but I have had two Optima yellow tops in my boat in 17 seasons. The first one died after 13, the second is still going strong. Not cheap by any means, but they don't fall apart internally like some others.

What rule automatic pump are you referring to, the rm with the float or the s which checks for water every couple minutes? Do you guys have a separate dump line for each pump? Looking to put second bildge pump on my boat. Also do you have them wired to one three position switch.
1, auto 2, both pumps on manual ?
1100 seams big with 1"1/8 hose
Anyone concerned about battery drain with constant checking on non float pump.

I have the solid state one on a "Auto-Off-Manual" panel.

It's only in automatic when she's in the water.

The pumps should all have a separate water dump and a separate power source.

1100 only seems like a lot when you don't use it.

The regular pump is just a 360gph. The 1100 is only really ever used in auto mode overnight.

I guess is cheap insurance for my mind.

I was hoping to be able to do it the easy way. 3 pos switch. Power coming off my current bildge pump switch.

Being from the whitewater world, everything is separate. You have no back up if one pukes the fuse.

When separate, you have a completely spare everything.

Not only that, two different size pumps require different overload protection and different wire sizes.

X2 eff Walmart work is shity,fellow pipe fitter local 364 Colton ca,cold side .our main branch crs is in Hayward. I'm with their smaller so cal branch
