Its pricey but building a motor yourself and having that piece of mind is worth a whole lot more.
If you caught it early enough there shouldn't be a whole lotta damage.

Piece of mind is worth a lot. Thinking about letting obnoxious rebuild it. Not looking for anything crazy just a dependable river cruiser. Top speed around 65 with enough power to pull skiers and tubes

Perfect time to get a big block

Yeah strokers are great I have a Smeding Performance 383 in my camaro has 441ftlb
Big block tq numbers

But no replacement for displacement

Need to make sure the small block is machined for marine application still gonna cost lil bit to have a reputable shop machine it then use a Lunati sledgehammer crank forged non twist excellent crank handle anything u can throw at it
I'd look at the GM cam 3972178 if u keep it a 350

I would check the mains and rod clearences before you put it in the boat. good deal sounds like he wants to try and make it write!!
