For a pretty much stocker... Perhaps a little cam... And certainly in a larger boat... The performer rpm, especially the rpm airgap is a pretty good all around choice. Stay away from the china knock-offs though... Go legit Edelbrock.
The point dist has got to go... I mean they work and all... But something tgat ancient has got to have some run-out and slop to it... Which on a points deal will cause them to not be very accurate.. Just an observation.

Completely true.
And to add, might be a bigger bang for the buck.
Just nowhere near as pretty as a new intake.
Remember, anytime you change things as major as an intake, you should take a look at the tune.
Also take a very close look at internal components while things are apart.
For example, you can see the cam lobes with the intake off.
