i would to have at least one 1970 block just the block! and i have some dove heads coming frum marc! let me know how motch?
Nathan,
What are you building that requires a 1970 D0VE-A block? Are you buidling a "numbers correct" restoration vehicle?
If this is simply a performance build, then any 429/460 passenger car block will support more horsepower than 90% of the enthusiasts throw at them. But, if you MUST have a D0VE block for some reason:
- Fresh teardown D0VE-A Block: $300
- add Thermocleaned and magged to the above: $425
- add Stage 1 oiling mods to all of the above: $625
- 4-bolt main cap conversion to all of the above: $1000
- All prices plus shipping/plus CA sales tax
LO
P.s.: A regular ol' standard web (non-D0VE-A) block will hold in excess of 750 hp (in good tune and if you know what you aree doing) and I sell those for $125 (<---fresh teardown). I've known them to hold WAY past 1000hp
