It's not hard to do at all, you just need the wire, some connectors, shrink wrap & zip ties. Hit 2Sav up, he re-wired his Bahner and if I recall it came out looking pretty sweet.

Check the hardin marine's harness. Just re did mine and im a monkey when comes to that. its pretty easy, not to much$ and ask for the diagram with it. to do It i think you have to buy 2 . one for the front of the boat and one for the rear that bolts to the back of the block. worth it and easy-r than buying color coded wire and doing it your self.

Theres a few extra leads, and dependant on if your not going to use a ballast resistor for your points ignition youll have some connections left over.

What would it be at a shop

Start to finish, custom wiring.

Depends on the labor rate, so lets go this way.....

So you got about 250' of wire +/-...figure about .50c/ft.                        $125

you're gonna need terminals, lets call it 40 terminals at $1 ea.                 $40

wire ties and loom tape, call it another $20.                                         $20

I would say a day of labor, let's call it 8 hrs. at $75/hr. (it's $90 up here)  $600



   $185 in materials, dont forget the taxes call it $15 = $200+ labor(600)= $800


Sooo $800, give or take, you can buy te harnesses for a little over $100.

Money potentially saved by DIY= $650, That's a lot of money for spare parts.
