This might be a stupid question, but Im trying to stay on the cheapest budget that I can. How do I run a dry exhaust? I want to keep over the transom exhaust because the boat doesnt have the holes. I have never had any experience with dry exhaust so any advice is appreciated. Im basically looking for the cheapest exhaust. (I know cheap and boat dont belong together)

is it logs with over transom pipes...or headers? if its headers its very simple...plug off the line going to the headers, and plug the water line inlets on the headers....no exhaust leaks, but honestly i would rather run wet headers....what is keeping you from running you over transoms wet? because the cost cant be that bad if you already have the over transom "pipes" the rest is all pretty simple

I just never new were the water went if you run dry exhaust. 

When it exits the engine, send it thru an over board dump line.

What do you want to spend on Wet Headers? I have a set I would part with, Im sure others do also.

Im thinking if I can find a pair for $350 or so that will be in the ball park. Im not in a hurry to get a set. They are hard to come by at a reasonable price around Ohio. Nordie has a good point Ill just be patient and keep an eye out. I just wasnt sure how some guys were running the dry exhaust, because I can get those for cheap.

Burns even happen with wet headers, and logs with O/T Pipes. I can show the scars proving it,   I call them my Newbie Initiation marks.  

But Nordie's right, that'll work, but as already said, good, solid wet headers can be had easily with the lines and t-valve for $350, and I've seen them FAR less (bought most I've found when not already sold). Check Craigs list often, can get lucky on EPray as well.

At $350, when do you want them? they are on here all day long for that price. PM Jim Brock, he prollay even has a set for around that. TRy Sitemash. Shows all Ebay and Craigslist listings coast to coast.

They are for a BBC. I have seen them on here before,but usually when I find them its to late and they are sold. It seems that the ones I have seen onEBAY go for way to much. I have found them on craigslist locally but its always the same story, theyre sold. I take a look at your shorties HD.
