Dyno Box
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:57:43 AM »
Yup, that's what I call it. I went to an engine dyno place yesterday to see what he has to offer and had many questions for the owner.

Anyway, my wire harness is not configured like a car where the ECM is in the dash and goes out under the hood. My ECM is mounted on the back of the seat and the harness goes back to the engine. So I went home and made a "dyno box". This houses my fuel pump, MSD and ECM. Also will hold my wire harness so when I get the engine set up on the dyno it will make setting up a little better.

TJ-

Don't take this the wrong way, but I hate you  ;)

You have some incredible skills, I'm envious to say the least, nice work.

Great Idea, the dyno shop will love you. TJ you always seem to surprise me with your innovative fab skills. I wish you lived closer, I'd be hanging out in your garage bugging you for knowledge lol. Hows your ride doing? I was having some issues with my timing and cam sync last trip out. I think I got it figured out now tho. dam fuel infection. Did you have any issues getting your duel sync dizzy set up correctly? I'm also pondering if I should open another hole on my bug catcher.

I had the engine apart for a while. All I have left is putting the intake, blower, EFI plate and bugcatcher on. I had no issues with the cam sync. signal. It really does not matter on my set up where number 1 is all long as it begins the sequential sequence because I am injecting fuel above the blower. I will get it dyno-ed within the next few weeks hopefully. I will post vids.

Good luck. Looking forward to seeing the dyno sheet and video. I'm sure it will turn out great for you. You did a great job on the build.

How many holes do you currenlty have working on your bugcatcher. I removed one of my panels today to open up to make it 2 holes. What a bitch it was. I used a dremmel with a small wheel. I cut the small welds and then had to cut through the epoxy which made a huge dusty mess.

Currently I have one hole open. My motor is putting close to 800 hp without nitrous.
