Salt removal from internal engine

I was going to put a heat exchanger in my boat but hear that coolant and salt deposits don't mix. What is the best thing to flush every bit of salt out of the motor. I've run salt away through the motor after I've had it in the bay but is there anything stonger ?

IMHO put it together with the closed system and run water and some simple green through it then follow that with some cooling system flush like Prestone, when you flush it again with fresh water give it a taste after about three or four flushes (very non scientific but effective). Then charge normally with the 50/50 glycol, change it once a year and you should be OK, done this a bunch of times on boats that routinely ran in the Pacific.

Wow that easy !, thanks ! I was told salt and prestone mix could gel and ruin the passages. I'll do this and keep an eye on it.
