Everyone knows i am now a proud owner of a BBF 460    And i want to build it right. I have been doing nothing but searching for pistons and i think it would be a big help if i got some input from you guy's here.
 
 I dont want to go wild just mild and i know there is ALOT of people here who have built there own engine's for pleasure and racing and a combination of both for some people.

 I have been looking at Aluminum Hyperteutectic (sp)
 Forged And Keith Black Hyper pistons, Now it leaves me alittle confused with so much to choose from. What would be a good suitable piston for a basic pleasure/ski boat?

H Beam or I beam rods are they neccessary for a rebuild or will the stock rods be sufficient for about 5Krpm max with ARP bolts.

 Now for a good cam, I think i will only be about 8-1to 9-1 max on compression and i would like something alittle more than a rv/marine cam or am i asking to much

So if you guy's think you are baby sitting me with this build

Consider E-brock heads.  Aluminum is good for another point of compression usually.

I really dont want to buy heads,  i like the D3's. Im just looking for a good set of pistons to start the build with   And take it from there.

You could alway mirror my family performance build as that is what I am going to be doing.

Actually it was the machine shop in town, near where Shirleen had her accident, that over bored a .030 job.

You guys are worse than the Flavor of Love girls

No not at all, after they bore the block they need to hone it to the desired piston to walll clearance. This is very important step in any build. Pistons are not needed for boring just for honing.

i allways send pistons with the block,
just follow jims advice, he is close to you and knows what he's doing
