Engine Stand Bolts

I was wondering, without buying 10 different size bolts, if anyone knew what size thread and pitch bolts I needed to mount my BBC onto the engine stand? How bout a length too. Figured you guys have done it enough to know it by heart! Thanks!

3/8 16.......about  3 1/2 " long...get washers for spacers.

Measure the mounting plate, add at least 1" and space with washers.

I have two stands currently, one is 2 1/4 thick and the other is almost 3" thick

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
