Exhaust Question
« on: May 22, 2012, 07:26:42 PM »
Hi guys, so my exhaust runs thrue transom under my swim step below the water line and im wondering if its possible to move it above the swim step?

Can i just cap the old holes and cut out new ones about 8 inches higher then run like an elbow from the water logs? If this is possible where could i get the block offs and elbows?

Thanks

It will only change at idle and it's a buttload of work... :screwy:

With your exhaust system (sound like logs and risers) you will be filling the engine with water unless you get tall risers (outlet above the inlet) have not seen any in decades...

What motor do you have?

What size snail exhaust do you have? If its a step down, you could remove the 3" flange and port it so you can have a 3 1/2" and change out your tips to SS. Should get a tad more flow...
